MICROMANCER
Group project, GMTK Game Jam - 2026
67th place / 7558 Entries
In MICROMANCER you play as a Wizard, trapped within his own devices. Use your magic to exchange scale with other objects. Puzzle and platform your way to escape!
I was the lead designer on this project, focusing on mechanics design and level design. We set out to make a tightly focused game with a high level of polish. This was the first time a few of us, including myself, worked in Godot. Learning a new new toolset was very enjoyable and I think we achieved the goal we set out with. I’m very proud of this one.
Made in Godot.
Shipbreaker Reset
Group project, Indie Galactic Space Jam - September 2021
Shipbreaker Reset is a top-down horror game made with PSX style graphics and tons of coffee. Our team loves older style graphics so we set up some shaders, a git repo, and a basic GDD and went to work. In this game you play as the last survivor on a space cruise ship tasked with shutting down the lethal robots, before the lethal-ize you.
I primarily worked on level design, AI programming, and procedural animation. Designing the tight corridors was fun (albeit laborious with our pipeline) and the process of decorating and lighting them super gratifying as the ship to shape. Trying out procedural animation for the first time was also a blast.
Made in Unity.
SUCPOP
Solo project, GMTK Game Jam - July 2021
SUCPOP was my submission to the Game Maker’s ToolKit game jam. It was made in less than 48 hours over the course of a weekend. My goal was to keep the design simple and the scope down. I decided to make a 2D game to give myself time to polish the mechanics and looks. The theme was Joined Together so after sketching a few ideas (involving with magnets and connecting differently shaped pieces) I came up with SUCPOP.
In SUCPOP you control two orbs separately that can join and break apart to interact differently with scrolling obstacles. The two orbs are connected by a spring-like force and can only be combined by moving them forcefully into each other. I’m very happy with how this one turned out and I had lots of fun making it.
Game with Unity, art in Asperite, and audio in Audacity.
Unity Weather
Solo project, Google Play Store - 2020
UnityWeather is a small project that I made in a couple of weeks in my free time. I The goal was to create a sleek app that showed user’s local weather in the 3D environment. I first researched the resources I would need to gather that data then designed the UI and UI flow in Draw.io.
I settled on using REST to get weather data from https://openweathermap.org/api. I then parse the JSON using Regex and store that data in a dictionary. I use current weather to update the environment (all of which I downloaded free from the Unity Asset store) then update the hourly weather prediction from the dictionary. The GitHub can be found here: https://github.com/blaster73/UnityCalendar. I used Unity Canvas and C# to program and implement the UI.
The app is in open beta on the Google Play Store. Feel free to check it out here: UnityWeather
Apollo 13.5
Solo project, 3rd place, Indie Galactic Space Game Jam - 2019
Apollo 13.5 is the story about the secret astronaut that saved Apollo 13. The game is a collection of short vignettes of our hero’s life as she prepares government facility for her one and only mission. I created every single asset and wrote every piece of code for the game. This is some of the most fun I’ve had at a game jam and it’s possibly the hardest I’ve pushed to get something done for one. We had 48 at the Orlando Science Center to complete the game. As goofy as it is, I’m super proud of this one. Check out the video below if you’re curious!
Solar Wind Surfer
Team project, 2nd place, Indie Galactic Space Jam - 2018
Using heat from the sun an alien species surfs the winds for entertainment and culture. I was a programmer on this team and created the movement system, dialogue system (my favorite part), and UI programming. Our other programmer left on the first day so it was a challenge to get everything done in time but I had tons of fun working on it.
Robo Rally VR
Team project, Global Game Jam -2019
Robo Rally VR is a VR mech piloting experience where players pilot the mech with a steering wheel and foot pedals. The chair reacts to your movement and creates an extremely immersive game. For this project I created the design of the UI as well as programming the functionality.
